1. Khanid, Vherokior, Achura, and Jin-Mei Battleships - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Almost anything in 'Kaalakiota colours' is good in my book. A kaalakiota Rokh, but why stick with racism? I thnk it's about time the R&D companies switched hulls. Black and red looks good on almost any hull.

2. Whats a good PvP missile boat? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Drake or Rook. Drake's a solid brawler with a good firepower. Rook's an awesome standoff ECM and missile platform.

4. What If: a Question on HACs - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
#1 No. Improved cloaks are your limit. #2 Afterburning nano fit? There's a reason you don't often see those. Now, I'm not one to throw out a concept out of hand, but I'm wondering what targets you're envisaging picking a fight against, and winni...

5. Missiles... - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Originally by: Cryissa So this would mean training up into another area should be easier for me right? Just decide on Amarr or Minmatar and go? If you're going to cross train, I'd suggest looking at Minmatar. I've found that the pl...

6. Solo PVP Caracal fit! - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Don't. Use a Moa instead. Caracal is an excellent cruiser, but it's strength is most definitely not soloing. IT's range bonus means it can hit further, but the it has to throw away that bonus, to close to 'point' range. The best you can do with ...

7. Missiles... - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Originally by: Panch0Villa In many larger pvp battles, ship kills are often decided in seconds, or tens of seconds. If you have great volley damage, but it takes 5-8 seconds to hit, you will drop about 1-2 volleys due to missile travel t...

8. What ship! :( - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
If you are just starting out in PvP, then what's most important is picking a ship that you can afford to sacrifice in return for experience. That means it needs to be something that you can buy a stack of 10-20 of, including fittings, and go int...

9. assault launchers - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Originally by: nate555 gang dynamic? Most Caldari ships have a bad reputation for PvP. It's not entirely the case though - in that if you have a ship with a specific role, Caldari probably have one of the best ships at it. But if you ...

10. assault launchers - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Cerbs suffer massively from a lack of drone bay. And they still are rather poor on powergrid. Frankly, if you're fitting HAMs to it, then most of the time you'd be better off in a Drake. The reason's quite simple - if you're 'capping' your rang...

11. assault launchers - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Assault launchers are basically high capacity, higher rate of fire standard launchers. That makes them pretty unusual, in that they're the -only- weapon that fits a hull size larger, but has the 'tracking' of the smaller ship weapon. Their paper ...

12. Fix my Ferox - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
At risk of being a broken record, don't use a ferox. Rails are probably the worst weapon system at the moment. The ferox itself is most effective for missioning, when you lock and load missile launchers (with low SP). And if you're doing that, the...

13. Blackbird fitting for smallscale PvP - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Don't bother with firepower. If you need more DPS, you need that more than you need a BB. Once you have some firepower though, you can move onto the BB. BBs are - no matter how you do it - fragile. They're only cruisers, and even with a heavy buf...

14. tengu or scorpion navy issue? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
I always found a T2 fit Raven had 'enough' tank to L4. Which to my mind, means the Navy Scorp is therefore overtanked - unless you've a good use for 2-3 midslots - which is useful, for painting etc. So I'd say Tengu. Not that I've missioned in on...

15. Which Black Ops? A problem - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Edited by: James Lyrus on 01/09/2011 18:49:29 The simple truth is that a blackops costs near as much as a carrier. It's not even as tough as a 'normal' BS, and firepower wise, it doesn't really compare particularly well with a stealth bomber. ...

16. Ferox fitting - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Well, yes. The Ferox is pretty much in all ways outclassed by the Drake. It's sole redeeming feature is that it's not as bad as 'everyone' tends to assume - which can be used to your advantage, when picking fights. Once upon a time, this was true...

17. Ferox fitting - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Ferox benefits from Neutrons - optimal range bonuses really do help when you're using blasters, and so too, fitting the longest range ones. Likewise - and I daresay I might pick up some flaming for suggesting this - void ammo. You see, void has a...

20. Cerberus or Tengu? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Originally by: Taron Hakard Drake is better than the Cerberus, unless you care about minor differences in speed, agility and signature radius. And range. Don't forget the range. But yes, for most purposes the Drake is better.
